About Dubai Legal Funding
Dubai Legal Funding provides success-based third-party funding for commercial litigation, arbitration and enforcement in Dubai, DIFC and ADGM. We work alongside independent counsel, assess recovery prospects from the outset and consider each matter on its evidence and economics, subject to review.
Who are we?
Dubai Legal Funding (dxbclaim.com) is a service provided by our team. Our location is Dubai, UAE. No regulatory authorisation or professional accreditation is implied.
We provide a team-run funding service, not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice or act as an advocate in court. Our role is to evaluate and, where approved, finance an agreed dispute budget. Your lawyers remain responsible for advising you on liability, evidence, procedure, settlement and deadlines.
What do we consider funding?
Our focus is commercial disputes in the DIFC Courts, ADGM Courts, DIAC arbitration and onshore UAE courts, together with international arbitration and enforcement of existing judgments or awards. Contract, shareholder, banking and construction disputes may qualify when the evidence supports a valuable and enforceable claim.
We typically consider claims with a value of USD 2 million (approx. AED 7.3 million) and above, funding budgets from USD 250,000 to USD 5 million per matter. Larger budgets and portfolios are considered case by case. These are review criteria, not an undertaking to fund every claim above a threshold.
What is outside our scope?
Cases without reliable documents, an economically viable budget or a realistic asset-recovery route are unlikely to qualify. A large pleaded amount is not enough if the defendant cannot pay or the available evidence cannot support the loss. We assess both legal merits and the practicality of collecting money.
We never promise a particular outcome or funding approval. Each matter is assessed case by case, subject to review.
Who stays in control?
The claimant and their independent lawyers retain control of the case. We work alongside your chosen counsel rather than taking over representation. Agreed reporting, consultation and spending provisions should be reviewed carefully: preserving control does not mean the agreement has no obligations.
Enforcement is planned from day one. We look at the identity of the defendant, where reachable assets are held, likely defences and the route from a judgment or award to recovery. A win on paper may have limited value without a practical enforcement plan and a budget to execute it.
How do we handle compliance and confidentiality?
Before substantive review, we consider conflicts and agree appropriate confidentiality arrangements. KYC and AML checks, ownership information and supporting documents are requested where needed. An NDA is a contractual safeguard, not a substitute for counsel’s assessment of legal privilege.
Documents should be shared selectively and securely after a conflict check and counsel’s approval. Please begin with a short, non-privileged overview rather than sending an entire sensitive case file. Contact email: info@dubailegalfunding.com. Telephone: +971 50 383 5614.
